Note : The Standing Committee on Conflict of Interest for Senators, in its Third Report, tabled in the Senate on March 26, 2014 (which was adopted by the Senate on April 1, 2014) recommended as follows:

Your Committee further recommends that these amendments come into force upon their adoption, provided that matters already under preliminary review or inquiry by the SEO or under investigation by the Committee remain governed at all stages of the process by the provisions of the Code as they read before these amendments come into force .

As such, the Code adopted by the Senate on May 1 st, 2012 will continue to be applicable to any matters that were already under preliminary review or inquiry by the Office of the Senate Ethics Officer prior to April 1, 2014.
